The primary purpose of the Support Group is to ensure peer support for all its members. This is achieved, among other ways, by organizing conferences, both nationwide and locally, for the various affected members of the organization. In 2023, the National Support Group organized both a conference for the bereaved and for siblings of both survivors and those lost in 2011. In 2024, we held a conference for survivors. Please contact Gro Lindstad at stottegruppen@22juli.info if you would like more information about our conferences.
In collaboration with the National Support Group, RVTS (Regional Centers for Violence and Traumatic Stress) has established a new support function: the LOS function. If you need assistance, do not hesitate to contact your regional center. Contact information is provided below.
Venke A. Johansen,
Due to consistent pressure from the National Support Group, those affected by the terror attacks on July 22 have the right to legal assistance until July 1, 2025. We know that the need for help is still present, which is underscored by recent research, including findings from the fourth interview round of the Utøya study by NKVTS. Many may still be entitled to additional compensation, and it is important to make use of the right to legal counsel to ensure that individuals receive the financial compensation they are entitled to.
For those affected who have not yet utilized the right to legal counsel, you can contact the Oslo District Court. Alternatively, you can use the LOS function, which can provide assistance. The LOS function is a project established in collaboration between the National Support Group and the RVTS offices. They will guide the affected individuals to relevant agencies.
